Ricardito is more than a film for me,it’s my life.

I grew up in Mexico City surrounded by challenges that forced me to grow up fast. There were moments where the path in front of me could have gone in a very different direction. Dance became my escape, my identity, and eventually my purpose. It gave me a way to express myself, to dream, and to believe that something greater was possible.

This project is deeply personal. It’s about where I come from, what I’ve lived through, and the people and experiences that shaped me. But it’s also bigger than me. It’s about every kid who feels like they don’t have options, and showing them that there is always another way.

Ricardito is my story-but it’s also a story that belongs to many.
