About the Film
In the streets of Mexico City, survival comes at a cost—but for Ricardito, dance becomes his first glimpse of escape.
A young boy growing up in a world shaped by violence, broken family ties, and impossible choices, Ricardito finds himself caught between two realities: one pulling him deeper into the streets, and another—through music and movement—offering him a way out.
As he is drawn into a dangerous underworld of crime, fast money, and betrayal, every decision brings him closer to losing himself. But even in the darkest moments, dance remains a constant—an outlet, a refuge, and a quiet reminder of who he could become.
When tragedy strikes and the consequences of the streets hit hard, Ricardito is forced to confront the life he’s living. Standing at a crossroads, he must choose: follow the path laid out for him… or fight for a future he can barely imagine.
Raw, emotional, and inspired by true events, Ricardito is a powerful coming-of-age story about identity, survival, and the transformative power of art.
The completed short film captures the origins of his journey. The feature film or series will take the story beyond Mexico, following Ricardito into Canada—where new struggles await, and where dance becomes not just an escape, but his purpose.
We are currently seeking investors and partners to bring this story to the global stage.
